أَنَا أُقَشِّرُ البَطَاطَا.

I peel the potatoes.

Je pèle les pommes de terre.


A boy chopping a cabbage.

أَنَا أَقَطَعُ المَلْفُوفَ.

I chop a cabbage.

J’émince un chou.


A boy grating carrots.

أَنَا أَبْشُرُ الجَزَرَ.

I grate the carrots.

Je râpe les carottes.


A boy washing beans.

أَنَا أَغْسِلُ الفَاصُولِيَا.

I wash the beans.

Je lave les fèves.


A boy cutting a butternut.

أَنَا أقْطَعُ الجَوْزَ.

I cut the butternut.

Je coupe la courge musquée.


A boy chopping spinach.

أَنَا أَفْرُمُ السَّبَانِخَ.

I chop the spinach.

Je hache les épinards.


A woman chopping onions and a boy watching.

أُمِّي تَفْرُمُ البَصَلَ.

My mom chops the onions.

Ma mère hache les oignons.

البَصَلُ يَجْعَلُنِي أَبْكِي عِنْدَمَا يَبْشُرُونَهُ.

Onions make me cry when they are chopped.
